Branding
As Social Media Coordinator, I placed a strong emphasis on the importance of consistent and intentional branding. While branding can take many forms, I focused on creating a cohesive visual identity across our social media platforms. The examples below highlight a few of the key ways we reinforced ODYSSEY’s brand and strengthened audience recognition.
Branding means your color scheme, your logo, your font -- all the things that make your account memorable. When you think of Nike, you think of the swoosh; when you think of ODYSSEY, we want readers to think about the “O."
Another key way we work to create a bran is by maintaining a consistent color palette of red, black and occasional accents of white or cream. Using these colors consistently strengthens our visual identity and makes the brand more memorable for our audience.
To further create our brand we use one consistent font, Harriet text, for all posts. This includes holiday graphics, schedule change announcements and story promotion. This consistency creates a cohesive look and reinforces brand recognition for our audience.
To create our brand we make to intentionally include our logo to reinforce the ODYSSEY's identity and help audiences associate content with our publication. This consistency strengthens visual cohesion and increases brand familiarity over time.
